Currently Listening To…

It’s been a busy week- not as busy as it has been for me as I have less obligations going on right now, but still I cannot believe we are already past half way through this week.  And the rest of this week I will be busier.

What keeps me going every morning though is my playlist.  I usually put on either Pandora or Spotify and do my thing, get ready, etc.  I figured I’d share 5 of my current listens.  A heads up- my tastes really vary, mostly throughout the Rock genres.  This list is mostly in the Indie genre.

  1. Noise Pollution by Portugal. The Man

  2. Breezeblocks by alt-J

  3. Let It Happen by Tame Impala

  4. Crimewave by Crystal Castles

  5. Overnight Sensation by BØRNS

“Noise Pollution” is the newest listen from this list for me, but it’s got such a funky, urban vibe to me that speaks to me.  When I turned on the radio to this song, while it was half way through, it only took a few bars of music for me to know I had to Shazam it right away.  Tame Impala is a band that for a while a few of my friends would tell me I should listen to because I would probably really like them and for a while I’d ignore them until I heard “Let it Happen.”  Such a chill, flowy song that literally sounds like you should just sit back and let it happen.  And I never thought it, but I have really been getting into BØRNS the past two months and it’s just amazing- and that he has two albums out and is younger than me blows me away.

And lastly of course, if you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them.
